Due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus across the region we have taken the tough decision to move the dates of Aviation Festival Asia 2020 to June 23rd and 24th.
We have taken this decision in light of:
  • Many companies are imposing non-essential travel bans
  • Many airlines are required to stay in the office to deal with the flight cancellations taking place
  • Over 25% of airline and airport speakers have dropped out this week
  • Around 20% of airline and airport attendees have cancelled their attendance
The event will run as previously advertised. The floor plan and conference schedule will remain as before. Your pass will still be valid for the June dates.

About Us

Background of BAR

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) recommends that a Board of Airline Representatives be established in each country where civil aviation plays an important role.   The Thailand BAR was founded over 40 years ago by the national carrier, Thai Airways International, as an informal, non-registered group of airlines working together to promote and safeguard the interest of the airline industry in Thailand.  Realizing that in order for the group to speak authoritatively on behalf of airlines, and be recognized by government and other bodies, it needed a more formal legal status, in June 2004 the BAR became a Business Association registered under the Thai Ministry of Commerce.

BAR is a non-profit organization and in order to keep operating costs at a minimal level the national carrier, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, continues its support of BAR by providing office facilities in its Head Office Complex, which is the legally registered address of BAR.
